Job Description

 

As a Software QA Engineer at Mitchell, you will be working on an existing and successful enterprise software client server and web-based products.   In the role you will debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.  You will develop, modify, support, execute and automate software test plans and test scripts.  You will analyze and write test standards and procedures as well as code test harnesses.  You will maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software and analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. You will consult with development engineers in resolution of problems and participate and provide input in code/design walkthrough/reviews.

 

Must be a strong communicator and have a passion for working as part of a team that is focused on nothing but the successful delivery of quality software that exceeds customers’ expectations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of QA/QE/SDET or Development experience.
  • Ability and Enthusiasm for Black Box testing of client server, web applications and services.
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good understanding of Testing Methodologies / Best Practices.
  • Working knowledge of C#, SQL, Power Shell and a scripting language.
  • Comfortable configuring and deploying of applications, services, SQL data and troubleshooting any issues with deployments.
  • Flexible personality who is willing to wear many hats, is not afraid to take risks and is wanting to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Able to independently troubleshoot issues and clearly document the findings in a well written defect report.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using version control and defect tracking systems (TFS or comparable).

Desired Experience:

  • Automated testing, automated build, continuous integration and testing platforms (Microsoft, Jenkins or comparable).
  • Frequently used industry standard tools like MTM, Selenium, Junit/TestNG.
  • Maintained and enhanced automation frameworks.
  • Designed and written data-driven tests.
  • Developed load/performance testing scripts, run said tests and analyzed the results using industry standard tools.
  • Good knowledge of OOP concepts.
  • Tested Data Warehouses/ETL/Reports.
  • Testing of electronic data exchange 
  • Medical bill or Medical Insurance industry knowledge or experience a plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, in particular Lean Agile, SCRUM.
  • Built tools to make testing efforts more efficient.
  • BS in Computer Science or similar experience.
