Job Description

  • Assist in operational, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, monitoring/alerting, and capacity planning of VMware infrastructure
  • Participate in end-to-end lifecycle management of vSphere hosts and virtual machines in geographically dispersed datacenters and remote offices
  • Contribute as a team player on a variety of projects such as data center relocation, acquisition integrations, and support other VM administrators as needed
  • Participate in routine Disaster Recovery testing
  • Follow established change management process to safely implement changes
  • Produce and maintain documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotation and planned off-hours maintenance



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a VMWare vSphere/ESXi host administration role
  • Experience with Vmware vROPS, SRM, VIO, vRA, Horizon View, and NSX preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows Server and/or LINUX administration
  • Experience with Microsoft Failover Clustering preferred
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting preferred
  • Experience with HPe c7000 Blade Chassis, Virtual Connect, Blade Servers preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Light travel possible
  • Must be a team-player with excellent customer service
