Job Description

*This position will be based remotely from home anywhere in the U.S. while supported the Field Nurse Case Management team in California.*

 

The Supervisor, Nurse Case Management is responsible for overseeing the services provided to the clients by the nurse case managers. At times, the supervisor will provide case management services to clients. The supervisor frequently interacts with other supervisors, managers, and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing candidate resumes, interviewing potential candidates, and communicating findings and recommendations to manager and/or talent acquisition partner.
  • Orientation of new employees (support and professional).
  • Training including system trainings, new hire training, staff development, and process training.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Analyze metrics to support team successes.
  • Assist in development of new processes.
  • Mentoring team members.
  • Assisting in updating case management resource tools.
  • Participate in delivering 1:1’s to employees.
  • Supervision of team members.
  • Client meetings/trainings.
  • Interface with clients for positive and negative issues.
  • Support unit and organizational goals.
  • Be able to oversee unit when manager is not available.
  • Be flexible in hours, if necessary.
  • Promote team spirit.

Qualifications

  • Must be an RN with an active, unencumbered license in resident state. 
  • Must be CCM; bilingual a plus. 
  • Field case management preferred.
  • Knowledge of California work comp rules and regulations, as well as other states.
  • Candidate will have previous management experience with focus on disability management, worker’s compensation, or occupational health. 
  • Knowledge of national worker’s compensation regulations is preferred.
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient grammar, sentence structure and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook Email; secure, private area for home office, and direct access to broadband internet.
  • Home office must be HIPPA compliant.
  • Location: Remote, home office.

 

Physical Requirements: Candidate must be able to sit the majority of an 8 hour day with the exception of lunch and break times. You must have manual dexterity, able to speak on the telephone intermittently throughout the day and read and write English fluently.
