Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing for the Mitchell Casualty Solutions Group, the Marketing Specialist’s primary responsibility will be driving the tactical marketing operations, especially as it relates to taking our product strategy and communicating it through client presentations, the creation of marketing collateral, and the execution of account and industry based marketing campaigns. In addition, this person will work closely with the Director of Product Marketing to closely understand our customers and prospects and then apply the Pragmatic Marketing framework to develop approaches that communicate how we can best address their needs.  This role also has the responsibility of conducting market research, monitoring competitive activity, identifying new product opportunities, and creating impactful white papers and case studies.


Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product teams, customers, and other content contributors and reviewers to achieve high-quality deliverables
  • Understand our holistic and product strategy and communicate this through the creation of sales presentations
  • Translate product strategies into marketing collateral that will effectively communicate our product offerings and value to our prospects and customers
  • Write content marketing-related deliverables, articles, and white papers
  • Deliver well organized content and tools to drive sale’s team performance
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, target key customer problems, and potential product enhancements or ideas
  • Analyze the results of marketing efforts to demonstrate impact and improve performance and make ongoing recommendations
  • Optimization of all efforts to continually improve (i.e. processes, approach, metrics, etc.)


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with focus on Marketing, or related field
  • 0-1 years of experience in product marketing, market research, or related field
  • Key qualitative attributes:  solid blend between critical and creative thinking; outstanding communications; inspires and teams with others; goes the extra mile in getting things done right; at ease working across team boundaries
  • Ability to use analytical, logical, and organizational skills to make business decisions using ambiguous, and potentially complex, information
  • Design experience, especially in PPT (required) and Adobe InDesign (desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to project manage multiple efforts
  • Strong, self-motivated team player
