Job Description

 Mitchell International is seeking an expert level Automotive Diagnostic Collision Repair Specialist. As a key member of the APD Repair sales team you will be based at Mitchell Headquarters and be the repair facility sales subject matter expert (SME) demonstrating the Mitchell Diagnostics system remotely to customers. Job responsibilities will include demonstrating the Mitchell Diagnostics solution to customers and staff, educating all parties on the importance diagnostic scanning as it related to proper and safe repair, using Mitchell Diagnostics to pre scan, diagnose, calibrate, program, clear codes and perform other diagnostic procedures. In addition you will utilize Mitchell’s Tech Advisor for OEM repair procedures and advise staff and clients on how to integrate OE repair information into the repair process.

Qualifications

  • Strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience. Proficient in identification of faults, error messages, scanning and clearing codes, Calibrations/ Initializations Flash Programing, Zero Point Calibrations, trouble shooting, reading and understanding technical repair information, etc.
  • I-CAR certifications as well as OEM Certifications a plus
  • Experience with (ADAS) Advanced Driver Assist Systems, LiDAR systems as well as Static Calibration and Dynamic calibrations a plus
  • Experience with OEM scan tools and or Aftermarket Scan Tools
  • Experience scanning and clearing DTC codes and reprograming modules ( ECM/TCM) and       J-2534 reprograming
  • A technical or vocational school graduate with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an aftermarket or dealership auto repair facility
  • Self-motivated, high energy and a client-focused perspective.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – you will explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals which may include employees, clients and insurance customers on a daily and consistent basis.
  • Some travel required (10-20%)

Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel is considered a plus
