Job Description

Department Description:

Our Strategy and Planning team seeks a Business Analyst intern to support the Casualty Solutions Group (CSG) business unit. The Business Analyst intern will support strategic business initiatives, which may include the product portfolio management process, customer and product profitability analysis, go-to-market product strategy, and pricing analyses within Mitchell’s Casualty Solutions Group (CSG) business unit. The intern will provide quantitative insight to help drive business strategy and will also execute the operational tasks necessary to ensure effective portfolio and margin management. Specific projects may vary depending on business needs.


Internship Description:

  • Learn and understand the business, products, and processes, and propose methods for improvement.
  • Assist Casualty Solutions Group business unit with market, customer, and product research and analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of management-level presentations based on analyses.


  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related field of study graduating in December 2018 or June 2019.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to use analytical, logical, and organizational skills to make business decisions using complex information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong, self-motivated team player.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
