Internship Description:

An intern in this role will be responsible for assisting in the creation of innovative and compelling user interface concepts to define the overall experience of Mitchell software. The intern will brainstorm new concepts with the Mitchell design team and create screen flow diagrams and wireframe models to communicate user interface (UI) design concepts. They will also build conceptual prototypes to explore interactive behaviors and front-end technological capabilities. The intern will also assist in coordinating and conducting primary user research, and define role-based user personas.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Cognitive Science, HCI, or design related majors. Graduating in December of 2018 or June of 2019.
  • GPA of 3.0+
  • Demonstrated skill applying user interface design best practices and user research methodologies.
  • Strong documentation and research skills
  • Solid oral/written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and in a team environment
  • Focus on client satisfaction and strive for continuous improvement
  • Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions
  • Familiar with rapid prototyping tools, preferably Axure.
  • Experience using the Creative Cloud suite
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite
