    Job Description

    Responsibilities of the AIX Information Systems Engineer include but are not limited to:


    • Provide input to system and application architecture design
    • Install, configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and maintain AIX, LINUX, WebLogic/JBoss JEE platforms
    • Perform routine DR testing, maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and operational support tasks
    • Perform research, testing, coordination, installation, and validation of LINUX patching
    • Follow established change management process to safely implement changes
    • Participate in on-call rotation and planned off-hours data center maintenance activities




    • Must have at least 5 years of related expereince
    • AIX, WebLogic/JBoss JEE, FTP, DNS, WebSphere MQ, Oracle Forms is a plus
    • Mid-level administrative experience with LINUX
    • Must have experience with system administration in a virtualized environment (VMWare)
    • Experience with scripting preferred
    • Ability to work independently, yet also possess the ability to exchange constructive criticism and work as a highly collaborative team member
    • Must possess proficient verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
    • Bachelors Degree is a plus.
