    Job Description

Job: Front End Developer - Mitchell - San Diego

At Mitchell XD, we create products which are easy, intuitive, and pleasing to use.  We believe that great products are about behavior and emotion as well as utility and function.  We learn from our customers to understand their needs and challenges, and then collaborate with cross-functional teammates to strategically design great product experiences. We’re looking for a talented UI Developer to join our cause. If this sounds like you -- we should talk.

    The Opportunity

Our ideal candidate is a compulsive problem solver with demonstrated skill aligning technical capabilities with business strategy and user needs to deliver enterprise-class front-end code.  You must be good at envisioning products with designers, and then translating these results into well-functioning UIs which conform to system architectural patterns. You must be able to collaborate equally well with product managers, designers and architects—as well as with other engineers. On a daily basis you will:

    • Creatively solve problems at all levels of detail: from the big picture to the nuts and bolts.
    • Build web application UIs for enterprise software using the latest front-end tools and technologies.
    • Advise team members on the technical feasibility of designs, and on the capabilities of front-end technologies.
    • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and architects to balance design goals with engineering rigor.
    • Drive the development, communication, and use of front-end architectures, patterns, and component
    • Mentor other developers on Web UI front-end coding best practices.

    Qualifications

    Our Requirements

      • 0-3+ years professional experience developing UIs for web applications
      • Bachelor's Degree Required. Preferably in Comp Sci, Cog Sci, or related technical / design field.
      • Demonstrated expertise with HTML, CSS, SASS, AngularJS, Angular 5, React and JavaScript are essential
      • Working knowledge of MVC implementations with server-side and emphasis on client-side
      • Proven experience building “responsive designs” that scale from mobile devices, through tablets to desktops
      • Track record of collaborating professionally with design teams and cross-functional teams
      • Adeptness at both giving and receiving technical design critiques and code reviews
      • Strong communication and presentation skills to mentor and coach developers
      • Experience operating within agile development processes
      • Deep-seated passion for well-designed and well-crafted things
      • A lifelong love of collaboration and learning
      • A fearless and positive attitude
