    Job Description

    Provides administrative processes support for tasks such as data entry, document verification, communication to providers and clients. Routine decision-making is tightly defined, with greater latitude at higher job levels, all the while focused on efficient processing of high-volume transaction-oriented assignments. Scope of work is defined by the contractual nature of the business.




    Assists licensed clinical staff in providing utilization management services for carriers, providers and injured workers seeking treatment options, utilizing URAC standards and state-specific requirements.




    • Assists as a team member in attaining the goals and objectives of Managed Care.


    • Prioritizes and provides excellent customer service on requests for authorization. Forwards reviews and phone calls, as needed, to the Utilization Management Nurse Analyst with accompanying clinical information.


    • Facilitates case set-up data entry with required demographic information for Provider, Employee, Client and Employer and medical services requested.


    • Facilitates correspondence for authorization approvals, denials, suspensions to the appropriate parties taking into account state regulatory guidelines, URAC standards and customer guidelines.


    • Understands and complies with URAC and  Workers Compensation Utilization Management standards


    • Stays abreast and complies with state/federal legislation as it applies to Utilization Management activities


    ****work location is can be either Richardson, TX office or Coppell, TX***



    • Two years Medical Assistant/Medical Office work; or Previous Workers Compensation/Group Health insurance industry, (customer service) experience preferred.
    • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Works well within a team setting to achieve the provision of the highest quality of results oriented service and customer service.
    • Possesses proficient data entry skills.
    • High School Diploma
