    Job Description

    Provides administrative processes support for tasks such as data entry, document verification, communication to providers and clients. Routine decision-making is tightly defined, with greater latitude at higher job levels, all the while focused on efficient processing of high-volume transaction-oriented assignments. Scope of work is defined by the contractual nature of the business.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Receive and respond to telephone calls through the Phone Queue
    • Communicate with external parties, advising referral status, prior authorizations, etc.
    • Accurately, data enter preauthorization requests obtained via phone, web portal, mail and fax
    • Process and maintain claims information and medical documentation within prescribed timeframes 
    • Prepares administrative files for Medical Directors, UR Nurses and Physician Reviewers
    • Performs daily referral Reconciliation and reporting
    • Observe jurisdictional specifics to ensure adherence to state regulations
    • Maintains knowledge of Client specifics, WC processes, state regulations, company procedures, and URAC policies
    • Review medical records to gather data, codes, etc.
    • Performs all other related duties as assigned
